Job Description

The Senior Buyer 02A26 position is a critical role within our procurement team, responsible for overseeing and managing the purchasing of goods, materials, and services necessary for our organization's operations. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strategic mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships. The Senior Buyer will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities align with the company's objectives. The individual in this role must possess strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance, market trends, and pricing strategies to optimize our procurement processes effectively. The Senior Buyer will also play a pivotal role in driving cost savings and improving supply chain efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability criteria.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Review purchase requisitions and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential procurement risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet their specific procurement needs.
  • Analyze supplier performance and implement improvement plans for better service.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management as needed.
  • Manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services for various projects.
  • Lead and mentor junior procurement team members for professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
