Senior Accountant

Location: Dubai, UAE (On-site)

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Standard UAE Business Hours

About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to take ownership of core financial operations across multiple business entities. Based in our Dubai office and reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers the opportunity to lead the full spectrum of accounting functions — from general ledger management to financial reporting, compliance, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple legal entities
  • Oversee general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and payroll accounting
  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other relevant tax regulations
  • Handle intercompany reconciliations and group-level consolidation
  • Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams
  • Lead the automation and optimization of accounting workflows using AI tools
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems (Sage Intacct and QuickBooks)
  • Support and enhance internal control procedures and financial governance

What We’re Looking For

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Certification: CMA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA (mandatory)

Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, ideally in a group or multi-entity setup

Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks is required

Digital Fluency: Strong understanding of finance automation tools and AI-driven optimization

Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT compliance

Soft Skills: Meticulous, analytical, and able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams

Compensation & Benefits

Monthly Salary: AED 10,000 – 15,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
