Senior Accountant (225-805)

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our company’s financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial analysis to aid decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess deep accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial staff. You will lead a team of accountants, collaborate with other departments, and report directly to the finance manager or CFO. This position demands a meticulous approach to accounting, a thorough understanding of financial principles, and the ability to handle complex financial data while working in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Analyze financial data and present financial reports to senior management consistently and accurately.
• Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently to ensure cash flow stability.
• Coordinate and oversee annual budgeting processes, forecasting activities, and variance analysis.
• Lead, train, and mentor junior accountants to ensure continuous professional development and performance.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the financial audit process to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data, and produce financial reports and statements.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax returns and documentation.
• Identify areas for financial improvement and implement strategies to enhance financial performance.
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance internal controls and accounting systems.
• Work closely with financial management team on ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred for this role.
• Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or a similar financial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of accounting professionals.
