The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. Responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process in conjunction with external auditors.
• Analyze financial data and generate reports to support management in decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all applicable regulations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Prepare tax returns and coordinate with tax advisors for tax planning and compliance purposes.
• Advise management on strategies for optimizing financial performance and saving costs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Evaluate financial systems and tools, recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and recommend investment strategies when applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred for this senior position.
• A minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulatory requirements is essential.
• Proficient in accounting and financial software, with advanced Excel skills required.
