Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain the general ledger with complete integrity and oversight on all entries.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial insights and recommendations.
• Coordinate and support annual audits by external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and document business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction.
• Lead and train junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Prepare month-end and year-end close processes in a timely manner.
• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure backlog issues are resolved quickly.
• Review and improve financial practices across the company, promoting efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred for this senior-level role.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a general ledger accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems effectively.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear report delivery.
