Job Description

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role at the intersection of engineering and sales, bridging the gap between complex technical requirements and customer needs to drive new business opportunities. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements and providing sales and technical support to potential clients. Your technical expertise will be crucial in helping customers understand the value of our products and service offerings, translating complex technical information into layman's terms that speak directly to the customer's needs. Working closely with our product development teams, you will ensure that feedback from the field is channeled into the development of future products. Your goal is to achieve sales targets and offer solutions that best meet customer satisfaction, thereby contributing significantly to the overall growth of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and address customer needs and expectations.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to explain products and services to potential clients.
  • Coordinate with product development teams to convey customer feedback and product requirements.
  • Manage the proposal development process to ensure quality and timely responses to clients.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance and product education to clients.
  • Research and maintain knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and industry standards.
  • Engage in solution selling, identifying ways to improve customers’ systems and processes.
  • Assist in the configuration of customized solutions to meet clients' specific needs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technical questions from clients and internal teams.
  • Support and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive retention and growth.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to promote our products.
  • Prepare and execute detailed reports on sales activities, forecasts, and progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in sales engineering or a similar technical sales role is desirable.
  • Strong technical understanding, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple departments.
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven approach and the capability to meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
