This role of Sales Director, Asia - Defense, is responsible for Bombardier Defense’s overall relationship and business development activities with government and industrial organizations in the Aerospace and Defense sector in Asia.

Location: The home base location for this position is flexible at one of our legal entity within Asia or Dubai, UAE.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Report to the Regional Vice President, International Defense Sales
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with governmental and industrial organizations in the Aerospace and Defense sector in Asia.
  • Guide Bombardier in government procurement processes and gather intelligence to develop strategies for business development activities of Bombardier Defense solutions in Asia.
  • Assess the challenges and follow the trends of the Aerospace & Defense sector and anticipate future requirements in line with Bombardier Defense solutions.
  • Grow revenue and market share in the assigned region by achieving aircraft sales targets and modification services.
  • Leverage relationships in government, military organizations and industry to ensure Bombardier is engaging with the key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Bombardier Defense in Asia and represent Bombardier at industry events, conferences and airshows.
  • Help grow revenue and market share in the assigned region by achieving aircraft sales targets and modification services.


How to thrive in this role?

  • You have extensive experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry in Asia with a strong understanding of public affairs, government procurement processes and local industry players.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in business, public affairs, engineering or a related field.
  • You think strategically, have a talent in crafting complex deal structures and ability to collaborate in cross-functional environments with industrial and public stakeholders in Asia.
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as intercultural awareness in dealing with customers and partners in Asia.
  • You have a strong knowledge of defense and special mission aircraft solutions.
  • You are self-driven, result-oriented, have a very strong work ethic and can make things happen
