Job Description

About Accenture – Supply Chain & Engineering

Accenture's Supply Chain & Engineering practice helps clients transform how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed — smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before. We help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving, blending real-world experience with digital innovation and AI.

As part of the Infrastructure & Capital Projects team within Supply Chain & Engineering, you'll work alongside project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists to redefine how the world gets built. Because "good enough" builds the past — we're here to build what's next.

Role Overview

As a Solution Architect for Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you will define and drive architectural solutions for complex capital project programs — from inception through delivery. You will bridge business strategy and technical execution, providing architectural and digital transformation leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, and fabrication environments. You will guide senior stakeholders and project teams in adopting scalable, fit-for-purpose architectures that accelerate project performance, reduce risk, and improve outcomes across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

  • Define creative solutions for business problems, holistically addressing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Define architectural roadmaps for systems and business services across capital project lifecycles.
  • Effectively describe solutions using industry-standard modelling notations
  • Define and document standards and guidelines to direct solution delivery teams.
  • Ensure finished products conform to architectural principles, governance standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide architectural and technical leadership across multi-disciplinary project teams.

  • Project & Program Management

  • Manage and implement assigned projects from inception through to completion (internal title: Project Management III).
  • Rapidly implement fit-for-purpose processes (build-as-you-execute) and practical tools for planning and execution covering scope, cost, schedule, and risk management.
  • Implement fit-for-purpose project management and reporting frameworks.
  • Manage fabrication and machining jobs across a mix of Build-to-Print and Design-Build project models.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Production teams throughout delivery.
  • Manage customer deliverables, schedules, and project milestones while matching internal capacity, resources, and budget (as-quoted cost).
  • Develop new project or program plans and expectations in consultation with stakeholders, including clients, and delegate deliverables appropriately.
  • Determine and manage human and material resources required to complete assigned projects successfully.
  • Formulate resource allocation strategies and distribute work and budgets accordingly.
  • Exercise authority in managing the work and controlling project delivery per project plans.
  • Review and ensure adherence to overall scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Identify risks and establish mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Monitor and report on performance against project requirements, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs; address issues with corrective actions.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness by consulting with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Establish and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to project teams, client executives, and operations leadership.
  • Lead scope change negotiations and oversee ongoing quality control.
  • Define success criteria and communicate them to all involved parties throughout the project and program lifecycle.

  • Thought Leadership & Business Development

  • Contribute to practice development through thought leadership and development of innovative services and offerings.
  • Participate in business development activities, bids, and development of innovative offerings.
  • Participate in thought leadership around Architecture and Digital Transformation for capital-intensive industries.

  • Basic Qualifications
