Job Description

As a Retail Banking Officer, your primary responsibilities will include assisting customers with various banking needs, providing exceptional customer service, and promoting bank products and services to meet sales goals. You will be responsible for opening new accounts, processing transactions, and addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and efficiently. Additionally, you will help customers with loan applications, credit card services, and other financial products. You must have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of banking products and services. A successful candidate for this position will have a passion for helping customers achieve their financial goals, be knowledgeable about regulatory requirements, and be able to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with various financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries.
  • Provide information on bank products and services to customers and assist them in selecting the best options for their needs.
  • Open new accounts for customers and help them with account maintenance and related paperwork.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services to customers based on their financial goals and needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Follow bank policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and to safeguard customer information.
  • Process loan applications and assist customers with loan inquiries.
  • Educate customers on digital banking options and assist them with setting up and using online and mobile banking services.
  • Participate in sales and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and achieve targets.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to build and retain customer relationships.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of banking products and services.
  • Prior experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a banking setting.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge of banking software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
