As a Regional Catering Officer, you will process all Food and Beverage operational and administrative tasks for the allocated region of responsibility. Ensures timely communication of the Food and Beverage plans to all key stakeholders to achieve efficient execution of the specified Food and Beverage uplifts. Deputises for the Regional Catering Manager in their absence.

In This Role, You Will

  • Assist the Regional Catering Manager in the design of innovative and gastronomically pleasing menus for both the inflight and Premium class lounge product. Facilitate the analysis of allocated routes/region customer specific requirements.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate communication of all Food and Beverage related specifications and menu details to our selected catering service providers. Update and publish information/instructions via the Catering Management system
  • Responsible for the timely preparation and administrative management of the inflight and premium class lounge tender and annual menu presentation plans. Ensure service providers submit Food and Beverage related pricing through the catering management system in the agreed timeframes.
  • Support with the financial analysis of annual menu pricing submissions to identify and evaluate deviations from budget. Effectively consult and communicate with the Regional Catering Manager to ensure menu costs and budget expectations are controlled.
  • Manage the ad hoc region specific changes to the published catering schedule by reviewing, updating and communicating to the relevant service providers in a timely manner. Organise appropriate meal uplifts and menu cards for ad hoc flight disruptions to ensure minimum impact to the inflight product and service levels.
  • Action and communicate the day to day Food and Beverage feedback streams and metrics by building and maintaining effective working relationships with the selected catering service providers. Ensure the timely corrective action/effective service recovery is carried out and implemented and incidents are closed in the catering management system
  • Coordination of region specific menu card translation and printing activities with the selected menu management and printing service provider, ensuring accuracy of the menu card content.
  • Organize, plan and assist with the pre and post flight Food and Beverage quality and compliance checks. Ensure that all results are documented in the catering management system and logged against the individual catering service providers performance related SLA
  • Assist the Regional Catering Manager with the menu and event planning for all regional activities for the Emirates Executive (A319) service and ad hoc Corporate Communications events.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree in F&B Hospitality/Culinary
  • Experience in a hospitality environment with extensive kitchen based experience

You'll Have An Edge If You Have

  • Solid understanding of global cuisines
  • Good understanding of the principles of cooking
  • Good knowledge of ingredients and recipe building
  • Knowledge of food production, food safety, halal compliance and product distribution
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
