Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review suppliers and determine the best deals for the company.
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services based on quality and cost.
  • Evaluate the performance of current suppliers and recommend changes as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations during procurement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and determine supply needs.
  • Analyze and manage procurement budgets to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Monitor inventory and procurement metrics to report on performance improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to forecast changes in demand and supply.
  • Lead and mentor procurement team members to improve skills and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role in procurement.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of savings achievement.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and build long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess supply chain processes and outcomes.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management software, such as ERP systems.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
