We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Assistant to join our dynamic procurement team. The ideal candidate will support the purchasing department in managing and executing a robust supply chain strategy. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of purchase orders and ensure they are properly authorized.
  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms for price, quality, and delivery.
  • Maintain and update records of purchase order status, deliveries, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand raw material necessities and fulfillments.
  • Support the Purchasing Manager in researching and evaluating potential new suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, and purchasing regulations and practices.
  • Respond promptly to supplier inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate likely price fluctuations and their impact on future activities.
  • Participate in inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, analyses, and forecasts to assist management.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing targeted tasks and achieving goals.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools for enhanced work efficiency.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
