Job Description

The role of a Project Manager in the civil sector is a crucial one, demanding a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic planning abilities. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all stages of construction projects, from initial conception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, you must have excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will also manage project risks and solve problems swiftly to ensure project objectives are met successfully. Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans that align with client and company standards.
  • Manage and coordinate all phases of the construction project lifecycle effectively.
  • Oversee all site operations ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the specified quality and performance criteria.
  • Implement cost controls and financial planning to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings to track project progress and address concerns immediately.
  • Evaluate and improve project workflow and efficiency through continuous feedback.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to achieve desired objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the civil sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to solve complex problems under pressure and deliver results swiftly.
