Job Description

The Factory Manager is a pivotal role in the manufacturing sector, responsible for overseeing all daily operations within the factory premises. This includes ensuring the production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while meeting all company and industry standards. The Factory Manager must adeptly manage both the human and technical resources of the factory, ensuring the facility operates at maximum productivity. Coordination with various departments, including logistics, quality control, human resources, and procurement, plays a crucial role in achieving operational excellence. Strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and a keen eye for detail are essential traits for success in this role. The Factory Manager is also tasked with implementing improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and elevate product quality.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily factory operational procedures and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Manage and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands efficiently.
  • Optimize labor utilization, ensuring staff perform duties effectively for productivity.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to uphold product standards.
  • Develop and enforce factory policies that promote a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to factory operations.
  • Monitor and control budgets to maintain cost-effectiveness and minimize waste.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff to build a highly effective team environment.
  • Collaborate with other managers to develop strategic plans for operational improvement.
  • Utilize analytics to assess factory performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime through preemptive strategies.
  • Manage procurement processes to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing management position.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of enhancing team performance.
  • Strong knowledge of production management and quality control standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
