Job Description

The Procurement Executive plays a vital role within an organization, spearheading the procurement of goods and services necessary for the company's operations. This position requires strategic thinking, savvy negotiation skills, and a keen ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance. As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining high standards in procurement processes. The role involves coordinating with various departments to understand their needs, ensuring timely availability of materials while adhering to budget constraints. A strong communicator, the Procurement Executive liaises with vendors to forge beneficial relationships and negotiate favorable contracts. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions possible.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies.
  • Manage supplier relationships to maintain quality standards and service levels.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement in procurement processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure that procurement aligns with budget constraints.
  • Prepare and submit detailed procurement reports and updates to senior management.
  • Maintain a database of suppliers, contracts, and service agreements for easy reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor relationships effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external collaboration.
