  • Oversee the integration of electric motors, inverters, power electronics, propulsors and associated control systems.
  • Work closely with aerodynamics, electrical, battery, thermal management and flight control engineering teams.
  • Conduct propulsion system performance assessments, including power demand, efficiency, thermal behaviour and operational limitations.
  • Support mechanical, electrical, thermal and control-system interface development.
  • Lead propulsion system integration testing, verification and validation activities.
  • Support aircraft-level safety assessments, failure analysis and system reliability evaluations.
  • Contribute to propulsion qualification and certification activities in accordance with applicable aerospace standards.
  • Resolve complex technical integration challenges throughout the aircraft development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership, engineering guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Propulsion Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in propulsion systems engineering, powertrain integration or aircraft systems development.
  • Strong understanding of electric propulsion architectures, electric motors, inverters, power electronics and propulsor technologies.
  • Proven experience integrating complex propulsion or powertrain systems within aerospace or other highly regulated engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of propulsion performance, power distribution, thermal management and system-level integration.
  • Experience with requirements management, interface control, verification and validation.
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis, system modelling and simulation tools.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex development programmes.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.

Highly Desirable

  • Direct experience with eVTOL, electric aircraft, hybrid-electric propulsion or distributed electric propulsion systems.
  • Experience integrating propellers, ducted fans, rotors or other advanced propulsor configurations.
  • Knowledge of high-voltage electrical architectures and battery-powered propulsion systems.
  • Experience with propulsion control systems, motor control and powertrain optimisation.
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or similar modelling environments.
  • Understanding of aerospace certification frameworks, including EASA CS-23, SC-VTOL or relevant FAA requirements.
  • Experience with system safety assessments, including FHA, FMEA and fault-tree analysis.
  • Previous involvement in aircraft prototype development, ground testing, flight testing or propulsion qualification programmes.
