Job Description

As a Periodontist, you will have the unique opportunity to provide specialized care in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease, as well as in the placement of dental implants. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat various periodontal diseases affecting the gums and jawbone.

  • Provide detailed patient education on oral hygiene practices and periodontal maintenance.
  • Stay updated with advancements in periodontics and integrate new techniques into practice.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical and treatment records for future reference.
  • Evaluate patient's dental history to identify periodontal health risk factors effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in clinical practices.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess gum health and detect periodontal diseases.
  • Manage and oversee periodontal treatment plans, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Participate in continuing education for professional development in periodontics.
  • Provide consultations and second opinions for complex periodontal cases as needed.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM) degree required.
  • Completion of a residency program in periodontics accredited by applicable dental bodies.
  • Licensed to practice dentistry and periodontics in the state of practice.
  • Demonstrated expertise in surgical skills and periodontal disease management techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest advancements.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary dental care environment.
