Job Description

The Patient Service Executive plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients within the healthcare setting. This role demands cordial interaction with patients and their families, providing necessary information, coordinating appointments, and addressing any concerns that may arise during their healthcare journey. The Patient Service Executive acts as the bridge between the healthcare providers and patients to ensure that all administrative aspects are handled with efficiency and empathy. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong understanding of healthcare systems and regulations. As the first point of contact, the Patient Service Executive must embody the values of the healthcare institution, providing high-quality service that prioritizes patient satisfaction and comfort.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and follow-up visits efficiently.
  • Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Provide patients with information on healthcare services and procedures.
  • Update patient records accurately in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • Assist patients with completion of necessary documentation and forms.
  • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Ensure that waiting areas are well-maintained and organized at all times.
  • Receive and document patient payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient care and service delivery.
  • Monitor and manage patient feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in managing patient flow and minimizing wait times effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally a must.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Proficiency in healthcare software systems and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Empathy and a strong commitment to providing patient-centered care needed.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures is beneficial.
