We are seeking a talented and passionate Oriental Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As an Oriental Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating exquisite pastries and desserts with traditional and modern Oriental flavors. Responsibilities

  • Create authentic and innovative oriental pastries with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Design new recipes that align with traditional and contemporary oriental tastes.
  • Ensure all pastry items are prepared in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and place orders to maintain inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine pastry menus.
  • Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff effectively.
  • Monitor the performance and quality of pastry kitchen operations consistently.
  • Develop and implement processes to optimize kitchen productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all pastry operations.
  • Adopt sustainable practices within the kitchen to minimize food waste.
  • Adapt pastry offerings based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef with a focus on oriental desserts.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern oriental pastry techniques and flavors.
  • Excellent eye for detail and a passion for food presentation and aesthetics.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-demand kitchen environment.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a pastry team.
  • Flexibility and creativity in adapting recipes and developing new offerings.
  • Formal culinary training or relevant certifications in pastry arts are preferred.
