Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and related developmental delays, coordination disorders, and sensory processing difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, analyze, and plan therapy management for infants, children, and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and sensory processing disorders.
  • Design and implement individualized Sensory Integration therapy programs to support behavior regulation and daily functioning.
  • Help children achieve developmental milestones such as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and postural control.
  • Help clients regain or enhance daily living skills after specific events such as hip replacement or stroke.
  • Prescribe and educate clients and caregivers in using adaptive equipment to assist function.
  • Assess clients' cognition, function, and psycho-social needs.
  • Work with children with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, and developmental delays.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, and educators for multidisciplinary care.
  • Educate parents/caregivers on home programs and behavioral strategies.
  • Track progress, maintain clinical documentation, and update treatment goals regularly.
  • Use play-based and child-friendly therapeutic approaches to enhance engagement.
  • Participate in case discussions and therapy planning meetings.
  • Demonstrate professional practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • DHA License / DHA Eligibility Letter
  • Certification or formal training in Sensory Integration Therapy (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or related developmental delays

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical reasoning in pediatric sensory integration and rehabilitation
  • Excellent communication and child-handling skills
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to work with challenging behaviors
  • Ability to engage children through structured play and sensory-based activities
  • Team collaboration in multidisciplinary environments
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
