Virginia Wesleyan University will invite applicants for the position of Neurodiversity Career Development Specialist.

Job Purpose

  • The Neurodiversity Career Development Specialist provides neurodiverse students career counseling and job placement services tailored to the needs of the student. This is a two year, grant funded position.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and delivery of employment training and curriculum
  • Conduct one-on-one career coaching sessions
  • Facilitate internship opportunities for neurodiverse students
  • Develop partnerships with employers for job placement opportunities
  • Support participants in managing career transitions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Student Success

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services or a related field

EXPERIENCE: Some experience in working with neurodiverse individuals in educational or workforce setting
