Job Description

As an MEP Project Engineer, you are at the forefront of designing and overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems integral to our construction projects. Your role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the MEP systems conform to both industry standards and client specifications. Responsible for not only the planning and execution phases but also for monitoring and auditing ongoing system performance to avoid future discrepancies. You play a critical role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires both a strong technical acumen and robust project management skills, as you will lead initiatives and guide a team of engineers and technicians. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with architects and other stakeholders to define MEP requirements.
  • Develop and review MEP designs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Manage and monitor the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Perform quality control checks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations.
  • Plan project timelines and milestones, ensuring adherence to project schedules.
  • Present regular progress reports to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Inspect work sites to identify any potential risks and enforce safety protocols.
  • Identify and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure that all MEP activities are coordinated with overall project goals.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Conduct project audits to verify that systems meet operational and design criteria.
  • Supervise and guide the work of junior engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in MEP engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with MEP design and analysis software tools is essential.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing project teams.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and delivery.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
