For our office in Dubai, we are looking for

MEP Lead

The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience and proven capability to lead MEP delivery for major infrastructure projects. The MEP Lead will be responsible for managing a technical team through the detailed design and coordination of MEP systems for complex infrastructure and transportation projects, with primary responsibility for design delivery, technical governance, and multidisciplinary integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers to deliver high-quality, coordinated design outputs.
  • Oversee the detailed design of MEP systems
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, authorities, and internal disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Plan and manage design deliverables, schedules, resources, and technical interfaces to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
  • Develop, review, and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, design reports, and technical submissions.
  • Ensure design compliance with relevant local authority requirements and applicable international standards/codes.
  • Lead design coordination and integration, including BIM/3D coordination, clash resolution, and interface management across disciplines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on technical matters; lead technical meetings, presentations, and workshops.
  • Drive pragmatic, cost-effective solutions and value engineering while maintaining performance, safety, and compliance.
  • Provide technical support during tender and construction stages, including responding to RFIs, reviewing contractor submissions, and supporting testing/commissioning strategy as required.

Competencies:

  • Strong technical depth in Electrical or Mechanical Design for infrastructure environments (tunnels, stations, underground assets).
  • Delivery-focused leader with a structured approach to managing teams, schedules, and design quality.
  • Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines, balancing technical rigor with practical decision-making.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, transparency, and strong collaboration in fast-paced project environments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree is an advantage).
  • 10-15 years of experience in MEP design with a strong focus on electrical systems.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Tunnel and underground project experience is mandatory.
  • GCC experience is preferred, including familiarity with local authority processes and approvals.
  • Proficiency in design and coordination tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant platforms.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical reporting skills.
