Mechanic - GSE

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To conduct and complete scheduled and non-scheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs of flydubai Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Workshops Equipment and Vehicles at DXB & DWC airports in accordance with the required standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures that all allocated scheduled & non-scheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs are carried out on flydubai equipment and vehicles on time and in full.
• Ensures that all allocated scheduled & non-scheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs are carried out to the highest possible standards, and in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Technical Manuals / User Guides.
• Captures and records all allocated scheduled & non-scheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repair activity utilizing the correct and approved methods in accordance with company / departmental procedures.
• Conducts calibration, load testing and proof testing of flydubai equipment is carried out at the correct intervals and to the required standards as per the OEM’s Technical Manuals / User Guides.
• Ensures that all allocated major equipment inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs are managed utilizing approved 3rd party supply chain vendors.
• Develops and introduces inspection & maintenance schedules for new equipment in accordance with the OEM Technical Manual / User Guide.
• Maintains up-to-date personal training records, including initial and recurrent training, in line with company procedures.
• Supports the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Department with additional operational or technical requirements to ensure flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 3 Years Mechanical Engineering Industrial Training Institute / Academy Programme.
• Fluent in English
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience within a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineering Workshop environment.
• Not applicable
• Years with qualifications: 4 - 6 years

Isr Requirements

Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
