Job Purpose

As Manager Revenue Optimisation you will implements and drives the mid to short term (12 month) Revenue Optimisation (RO) market strategies, standards and procedures to maximise revenue at acceptable yields and seat factor, utilising PROS OD to maximise traffic flow, pricing and demand management analysis tools, integration of Origin and Destination management, pricing and multi-channel sales strategies. The role leads working in conjunction with the Commercial teams, to translate into measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) i.e. market share, point-of- sale OD forecast, yield, seat factor and SLAs.
This role will support the delivery of the Modern Airline Retailing program, playing a key role in transitioning to the next-generation Offer & Order Management System while driving cross-functional stakeholder engagement and change management efforts.
In This Role You Will
Generic
Evaluate trends in market conditions using market intelligence reports and competitor activity information and political/economic trends/industry development, to drive route profitability.
Analyse trends in the global aviation landscape using externally published information and through market intelligence on competitor activities, geo-political developments, economic forecasts and market behaviours, to drive overall revenue maximisation, through aiding informed business decision making.
Plan, develop and implement strategy for people management and development, including recruitment, selection policy/practices, coaching, training and development, engagement, culture and performance.
Lead and drive a team of management/analysts, conducting regular reviews of monthly KPI performance.
Ensure RO standards and procedures are defined, communicated, and enforced, with employees comprehensively trained developed in line with KPIs.
Support in delivering the Modern Airline Retailing Transformation program, including activities related to the selection, procurement, and rollout of the new Offer & Order Management System
Assist in planning and coordinating the transition from the current PSS to OOMS, including supporting technical teams on integration with digital and enterprise systems
Contribute to change management efforts, stakeholder coordination, and communication planning across business units and external partners
Support project governance activities, including tracking progress, identifying risks, ensuring resource alignment, and facilitating collaboration across delivery teams
MRO Standard And Procedure
Lead and direct the development and continuous improvement of RO standard operating procedures, policies and processes including pricing, inventory, groups and demand management.
Develop RO KPIs and metrics, to facilitate regular performance reviews for each key RO discipline, ensuring KPIs and metrics are clearly measured, tracked and published regularly.
Ensure departmental training needs analysis processes are conducted annually with quarterly reviews.
Lead and direct key strategic projects, ensuring new system capability has undergone impact analysis, with updates to standards and procedures identified.
Lead and direct a continuous process efficiency programme, identifying process redundancy, and updated standards and procedures with training for operational teams.
Drive the RO best practice group strategy developing key guidelines, and leading monthly progress reviews with RO leadership, ensuring recommendations for change are approved prior to implementation.
MRO Revenue System & Business Support And Revenue Planning & Analytics
Provide critical business support related to RO systems, data, influences, strategies, controls and system availability, supporting demand trends, optimization fine-tuning, pricing, yield and critical flight analysis.
Lead the Revenue Systems and Business Support teams, working with EGIT and external vendors to implement, maintain and enhance RO systems.
Manage the RO IT budget and strategy, with project management of various systems initiatives.
Provide enhanced analytics, insights and reporting to proactively steer revenue, prices and inventory.
Visualise and implement the business information architecture with standardisation across business solutions/applications; to drive new technology and tools to provide revenue dashboard and critical insights.
Provide RO input, adoption and support for cross-department strategies and initiatives
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
Bachelor Degree or Honours with minimum 10+ years of experience in Airline Revenue Management or Pricing or with a Revenue Management vendor in a product role
Hands-on Knowledge of airline industry transformation to Modern Retailing, offers and orders, NDC platform, ancillary sales etc.
Strong analytical skills including use of BI tools, AI/ML models and enterprise analytics
Demonstrated experience in large-scale cross-functional program management and/or commercial product design & management
Ability to present to and interact with Commercial and Operations stakeholders is a must.
