We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing media plans, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role requires collaboration with internal teams, agency partners, and vendors to deliver high-quality campaigns that meet client objectives.

A Typical Day Will Include

  • Provide high-standard and quality service to clients, understanding their requirements and needs.
  • Develop media plans integrating all aspects of media: TV, Print, Radio, Outdoor, Digital, Interactive, and Emerging Technologies.
  • Devise and execute both online and offline media strategies to fulfill client and brief objectives.
  • Manage and oversee media budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency.
  • Liaise with the Investment team to achieve buying commitments.
  • Supervise and provide line management for junior team members in the planning team.
  • Offer recommendations and analysis on targeting, geography, scheduling, support level, and budget allocation.
  • Ensure timely execution of campaigns and prepare post-campaign summaries and analyses.
  • Maintain media schedules and track placement of broadcast, print, internet, and OOH buys to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and integrate emerging media opportunities into media plans.
  • Foster effective communication and integration with multiple agency partners, including creative, account management, web, promotions, media buying, and research teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet expected standards.
  • Construct media plans using a logical and data-driven approach, creating competitive reports with in-depth analysis and actionable insights.
  • Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring proactive communication and delivering exceptional service.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of each clients business, brand, sector, competitors, and target audience.
  • Leading campaign management and execution following client approval, collaborating closely with Activation teams and external agency partners.
  • Owning the preparation and delivery of weekly status reports, as well as comprehensive campaign performance reports.
  • Partnering with the Client Lead to support the planning and delivery of short-, medium-, and long-term client objectives.
  • Overseeing financial processes, including PO tracking, client invoicing, payment follow-ups, and resolving billing discrepancies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Ensure all client requests are met in a professional and efficient manner while managing expectations effectively.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client businesses, brands, sectors, competitors, and target audiences.
  • Lead campaign management and delivery post-client approval, working closely with Activation teams and liaising with agency partners.
  • Own weekly status reports and overall holistic campaign reporting sent to clients.
  • Work closely with the Client Lead to proactively manage short, medium, and long-term client objectives and expectations.
  • Oversee financial management, ensuring accurate tracking of POs, timely client payments, and reconciliation of billing issues.
  • Fully immerse in the company’s tools and systems, confidently discussing them with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar media or marketing role.
  • Strong background in planning and executing both online and offline media campaigns.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Arabic is plus
  • Google Certified (through the Google Certified Professional program).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative planning marketing research and its application for brand building and marketing initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other media planning tools.
  • Passion for outstanding client service with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze and validate data.
  • Confident presentation skills with the ability to articulate media plans and insights effectively.
