Job Purpose

The Manager Business to Business (B2B) Channel Distribution Adoption leads a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME) with technical and commercial expertise in New Distribution Capability (NDC) to drive the NDC adoption strategy, effective communication between Revenue Optimisation technical teams, Commercial Operations, and the external market on all NDC-related matters, and drive growth of the NDC channel in line with the overall revenue plan.

In This Role, You Will

  • Create, develop, and oversee execution of the NDC adoption strategy for the EK network, whilst supporting Commercial Operations to develop region/POS level sales strategies for NDC to achieve KPIs.
  • Lead a team of Subject Matter Experts, to provide technical and commercial guidance, and on the job coaching and training to sales teams, to ensure NDC service quality levels and satisfaction levels are met.
  • Oversee deployment and integration of EGW, ensuring consistency in implementation, capability to respond to market needs and full utilisation to maximise NDC bookings.
  • Position the team as experts for Commercial Distribution, as the focal point for all communication with Revenue Optimisation technical teams for onboarding, pipeline, and strategy delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with the market, to collate feedback for trend analysis, whilst enhancing travel agent understanding and proficiency, to provide exceptional service and fully use EGW.
  • Ensure the team function as EGW ambassadors to Commercial Sales teams to promote the channel and its benefits and negotiate appropriate incentive schemes to maximise NDC bookings.
  • Build strong relationships between Commercial, Revenue Optimisation, Distribution, and local aggregators, to ensure clarity, suitability, and alignment for adoption.
  • Lead collaboration between Commercial stakeholders to clarify the relationship, structure, Terms of Reference, and processes: new requests to go live, monitoring and support: the NDC adoption lifecycle.

Qualification

To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Honours with 10+ years in Commercial disciplines with emphasis on Business, Marketing & Sales.
  • Experience in Commercial, with experience of NDC adoption, commercial distribution, GDS, aggregator, business development. Experience in a comprehensive understanding of all functions within Passenger Sales.

Knowledge/skills

  • In depth knowledge of the airline industry, global distribution channels and commercial airline strategy, ideally including revenue optimisation and sales.
  • Executive stakeholder management expertise and strong organisational awareness.
  • Able to build relationships and at all levels, in Consultancy, Travel, Transportation, Airline sectors.
  • Experience in process improvement, project management, organising resources for quick turnaround.
