Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment for maximum efficiency.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues promptly and accurately to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of all equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns and perform necessary repairs promptly.
• Install new equipment and systems, ensuring proper set-up and functionality.
• Continually assess equipment condition and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
• Train and assist junior technicians in understanding maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies, reordering as necessary.
• Provide input on capital equipment and maintenance budget planning.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred for this role.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, with relevant skills.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for effective maintenance.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools required for repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Able to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals accurately.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations to maintain compliant work practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for off-site maintenance tasks.
