Job Description

The Maintenance Project Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for ensuring that all maintenance projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This position involves strategic planning, coordination, and oversight of various maintenance projects, encompassing both routine and complex tasks. The Maintenance Project Manager will work closely with different departments to understand maintenance needs, develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, capable of negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships. This role demands a proactive approach to maintenance management and a strong ability to adapt to evolving project scopes and priorities.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans for all maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to assess and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Lead project teams, providing guidance and direction to achieve project goals.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess project progress and compliance.
  • Ensure all maintenance projects adhere to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, timelines, and budget utilization.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to keep them informed of progress.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
  • Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of tools and supplies needed for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in project management within a maintenance context.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management software tools and technology.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with an emphasis on collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective stakeholder and vendor engagement.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements in maintenance projects.
