Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is a pivotal role ensuring that all facilities, machinery, and equipment within an organization run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves overseeing the maintenance operations, planning and scheduling regular maintenance tasks, and managing a team of skilled technicians. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for developing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting issues when they arise, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This position requires excellent leadership abilities, technical knowledge, and a strategic mindset to optimize processes and maintain operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. They should also possess strong communication skills to effectively liaise with different departments and vendors to ensure that company objectives are met.


Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all maintenance and repair activities for facilities and equipment.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance to minimize downtime.
  • Manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing direction and training as needed.
  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance improvements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and equipment sourcing.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies to promote a safe working environment.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and records to track activities and diagnose future problems.
  • Analyze maintenance data and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting maintenance activities and outcomes.
  • Manage the maintenance budget and optimize resource allocation for maximum productivity.
  • Respond promptly to facility and equipment breakdowns and coordinate repair actions.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for maintenance operations and organization standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management positions.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, systems, and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a technical team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with different departments and vendors.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
