Job Description

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating logistics operations within our organization. Your expertise in logistics management will ensure that the supply chain remains efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused. You will be responsible for supervising a team of logistics professionals, ensuring that goods are transported, stored, and distributed effectively. This role demands strong leadership skills, analytical abilities, and in-depth knowledge of logistics processes and systems. Working closely with other departments, you will ensure alignment with overall business objectives, optimize logistics performance, and contribute to customer satisfaction and business growth. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and oversee the day-to-day activities of the logistics team.
  • Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with logistics service providers.
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of all logistics activities and teams.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics and propose improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international logistics regulations.
  • Develop staff through training initiatives and continuous performance assessments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize the supply chain process.
  • Resolve logistics issues and propose solutions to enhance workflow efficiencies.
  • Use logistics technology to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in logistics or supply chain roles.
  • Proven track record of supervising and developing logistics personnel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with an attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, systems, and related technologies.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills to address and resolve logistics challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions under pressure.
