Job Description

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring that the flow of goods, information, and other resources between the point of origin and the point of consumption meets the requirements of customers. This position requires effective leadership, as you will manage and coordinate the work of logistics teams, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will also include monitoring the performance of your team and implementing improvements as necessary. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and significant experience in logistics and supply chain management. As a Logistics Supervisor, your goal is to streamline operations, expedite shipping processes, and maintain high service standards while optimizing costs.


Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of logistics coordinators to ensure smooth operation flow.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize logistics processes.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics and improve upon them.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints from clients or customers swiftly.
  • Maintain and adhere to a defined budget, maximizing resource utilization.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with logistics laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Plan and track shipments and inventory levels within organizational standards.
  • Foster a team environment that encourages efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to cover peak business operation times.
  • Develop training programs to support team members in their role development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership position.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
