Job Description

As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the lifecycle of products, ensuring their efficient and timely movement from origin to destination. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the transportation, storage, and delivery of goods, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Your expertise in logistics will support the operational goals of the company, optimize supply chain processes, and enhance customer satisfaction. Being detail-oriented and highly organized, you'll need to juggle multiple priorities and solve complex problems. Your role will involve collaborating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations and reduce costs while maintaining high service standards.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of products.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation and distribution processes.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize excess stock.
  • Negotiate with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective shipping rates.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements in logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage logistics budgets and control costs to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics-related documents.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to logistics team members for successful operations.
  • Implement new technologies to improve logistics efficiency and accuracy.
  • Resolve issues relating to logistics operations and provide effective solutions promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a logistics or supply chain management role.
  • Excellent knowledge of logistics and inventory management software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret logistics data to make informed decisions.
