Job Description

As a Logistics Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of goods. Your role will require you to coordinate with multiple departments, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation, to optimize processes and reduce costs. An integral part of the role involves monitoring logistics performance, implementing new strategies, and complying with regulations. You must possess a keen understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, exhibit excellent leadership and negotiation skills, and be adept at problem-solving. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth strategies and enhancing the organization's logistical capabilities.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international logistics regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics KPIs to improve performance continuously.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics service providers to obtain best rates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Oversee the warehousing system to ensure inventory accuracy and safety.
  • Manage logistics budgets and forecasts to align with business goals.
  • Identify gaps in the logistics processes and propose practical solutions.
  • Implement and optimize logistics software systems for efficiency improvement.
  • Lead, train, and motivate logistics staff to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributor partners for seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or a similar role for at least 3 years.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and supply chain management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are crucial.
  • Ability to lead and manage staff with strong leadership qualities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for vendor management.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data analysis.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations adeptly.
