Job Description

We are searching for a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine, bringing authentic flavors and artisanal skills to our kitchen. You will be responsible for crafting traditional Indian dishes while also bringing creativity to our menu. Your expertise will help elevate our dining experience, providing guests with exceptional and memorable meals. As a team leader, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior chefs and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene. Responsibilities

  • Prepare authentic Indian dishes while ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation.
  • Design new Indian dishes and contribute innovative ideas for menu improvement.
  • Manage the kitchen team, provide training, and ensure a productive work environment.
  • Oversee food preparation procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of ingredients for preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the culinary workspaces at all times.
  • Collaborate with management to discuss and plan menu specials and promotions.
  • Source and use the best ingredients to ensure the highest quality of dishes.
  • Ensure that all culinary equipment is used safely and effectively by the team.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on kitchen operations and team performance.
  • Adapt recipes to local tastes while maintaining traditional Indian culinary principles.
  • Participate in food tasting sessions and provide constructive feedback to the team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a reputable culinary establishment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian culinary techniques, spices, and regional cuisines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high culinary standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team and management.
  • Certification in culinary arts or equivalent professional training is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts as required.
