Job Description

The Logistics Executive plays a crucial role in managing the operations and logistics of a company, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position is responsible for overseeing the transportation, warehousing, and delivery of goods, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an ability to solve complex logistical problems. Additionally, the Logistics Executive should have excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with various departments and stakeholders, and the ability to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance overall operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee all logistical plans to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage timetables and service agreements.
  • Analyze current supply chain processes for inefficiencies and propose improvements.
  • Maintain strong communication channels with suppliers, vendors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international logistics regulations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for logistics operations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Implement reporting structures to track and assess logistic activities effectively.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels in warehouses.
  • Lead and direct warehouse staff to achieve objectives consistently and safely.
  • Monitor processing timelines to ensure all deliveries are executed as planned.
  • Develop strategies to streamline processes and increase efficiency across the operations.
  • Investigate and resolve logistical issues associated with delivery, distribution, and shipping.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a logistics and supply chain role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and optimize logistics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Proven experience in managing ERP and other logistics-related software systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with vendors and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks effectively.
