Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our supply chain processes. They are responsible for ensuring that the entire process of product delivery is seamless and timely, coordinating with various teams to ensure that all logistics activities are conducted efficiently. As a Logistics Coordinator, you'll collaborate closely with vendors, transportation companies, and internal teams to manage and monitor all aspects of logistics from scheduling and dispatching shipments to tracking the movement of goods. This role requires someone with exceptional organizational and communication skills, as you'll be overseeing intricate schedules and collaborating with various departments and external partners. Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential in ensuring logistical issues are resolved promptly to maintain smooth operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule the shipment of goods and materials efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure the accuracy of stock records.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors to confirm shipment schedules.
  • Track the progress of shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and process all relevant shipping documents and reports.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with internal teams.
  • Negotiate with transport companies to secure the best shipping rates possible.
  • Monitor and resolve any issues related to shipping delays or discrepancies.
  • Analyze logistical problems and provide solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain records of all transportation activities and logistics reports.
  • Assist in evaluating logistics partners to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Assess and implement cost-saving strategies related to logistics operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role required.
  • Strong understanding of logistics management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities essential for this role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and IT systems critical for this position.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected logistical challenges.
