The School of Research Science (SRS) High School serves students in Grades 9–12 through a rigorous and engaging American curriculum. Our mission is to foster academic excellence, critical thinking, and college and career readiness in a diverse, inclusive learning environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Literacy Coordinator to lead and enhance literacy instruction across all high school grade levels. This role focuses on strengthening students' reading, writing, and communication skills by supporting teachers, guiding curriculum development, and promoting literacy-rich classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-impact literacy initiatives aligned with Grades 9–12 standards and school improvement goals.
  • Coach and support teachers in effective literacy instruction, differentiation, and integration across subject areas.
  • Analyze literacy data to identify trends, inform instruction, and track student growth.
  • Collaborate with subject area teams to embed reading, writing, and academic language across all courses.
  • Lead professional development sessions focused on literacy strategies, interventions, and assessment practices.
  • Foster a school-wide culture of reading, writing, and academic discourse.
  • Evaluate and refine literacy programs to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Literacy, English, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching license or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in high school literacy instruction, coaching, or curriculum leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of adolescent literacy development, reading/writing strategies, and assessment tools.
  • Proven ability to lead professional learning and collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
