Overview of Services to be provided by Legal Counsel (MESA).

  • Providing legal counsel for the Group's business activities in Middle East & South Asia (“MESA”) as may be required by the Company.


Duties and Areas of Responsibility

  • Providing legal support and advice to the group’s business activities in MESA
  • Drafting, negotiating and advising on a broad range of commercial and corporate contracts relating to the exploitation of commercial rights to sporting events.
  • Managing and performing the corporate secretarial function for all the Group companies in MESA.
  • Providing general advice on legal matters arising from the Group’s corporate structure and operations across MESA.
  • Providing legal support and advice on general corporate and company secretarial matters.
  • Developing and updating legal precedents as required.
  • Liaising with external counsel and regional offices on a variety of legal matters.
  • Advising on and managing compliance matters relating to the Group’s MESA business.
  • Supporting the implementation of Group’s policies and training.
  • Reporting regularly and as required on all legal, corporate secretarial and compliance matters to VP Legal Affairs (APAC).


Requirements

  • Experience working within the Sports Industry is preferable (within the MESA region is preferred).
  • Knowledge of English common law is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience preferred
