Laundry Attendant At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay

InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and service-driven Laundry Attendant to support our housekeeping operations and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, care, and presentation. You will play an essential role in ensuring guest garments, linens, and uniforms are impeccably cleaned, pressed, and presented in line with IHG and Forbes-level service standards.

Located in the heart of Dubai’s Business Bay, just moments from iconic landmarks such as Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay features 176 elegantly designed residences and hotel rooms, offering refined luxury, comfort, and sophistication. As a Laundry Attendant, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly contribute to our guests’ comfort and overall experience.

Your Day-to-Day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Laundry Operations & Handling

• Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold guest laundry, hotel linens, and colleague uniforms according to established procedures.
• Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, presses, and ironing equipment.
• Identify fabric types and follow correct washing and pressing methods to prevent damage.
• Handle guest laundry with care, confidentiality, and attention to special instructions.
  
  

Quality, Standards & Guest Experience

• Ensure all linens, uniforms, and guest garments meet InterContinental and Forbes luxury standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues promptly to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Support timely delivery of guest laundry and internal requests to meet service expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic laundry work area at all times.
  
  

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper chemical usage and storage.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and sustainability practices related to laundry operations.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
  
  

Teamwork & Support

• Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support colleagues during high-volume periods and special operational requirements.
• Participate in training and follow guidance from supervisors to continuously improve performance.
  
  

What We Need From You

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Vocational training or basic certification in housekeeping, laundry operations, or hospitality is an advantage.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Laundry Attendant or similar role in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations, fabric care, and stain removal techniques.
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards within a hotel environment.
