KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a PMC role for Specialist Logistics Marine Engineer for an Offshore project to be based in Offshore site location (6 weeks on / 3 weeks off).

Job Overview
The Specialist Logistics Marine Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing offshore logistics operations to support marine engineering projects. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of personnel, equipment, and materials across offshore platforms, vessels, and supply bases.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline, Supply chain or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within the oil gas industry more so in material management &supply chain logistics, engineering, drilling, project management. With minimum 5 years in a middle management position in a high velocity project management environment.
- High Planning, Analytical & problem solving.
- Good Leadership, communication skills and ability to lead and manage teams.
- Computer skills, exposure to SCM ERP modules will be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Subject matter expert on all contractual matters relating to Logistics as outlined in the EPC / Company contract for services.
Review and monitor Contractor Project Logistics Deliverables (plans, procedures, manpower requirements, schedules, sub-contracts, etc.) and ensure compliance with Company safety, quality, cost & schedule requirements.
Review and monitor Contractor material procurement status reports to ensure schedule integrity.
Ensure Contractors strictly adhere to Company customs clearance procedures for all material entering UAE.
Identify all over-dimensional / heavy lift materials (i.e. modules) requiring specific handling procedures, permits, and special permissions to transport and receive at artificial islands. Ensure resources are properly allocated to special activities (i.e. module loadouts)
Ensure regular contact is maintained with the islands and marine team is kept informed and updated on any planned marine movements in the fields and that meteorological information is dispatched regularly to islands and vessels.
Review and evaluate ITT technical specifications and scope of works for all Transportation and Logistics sections of various contracts. Provide suitable recommendations for optimization.
Coordinates with EPC and Drilling Operations logistics team to ensure overlapping activities are minimized.
Demonstrates Safety Leadership – responsible for HSE system implementation.
Ensure Risk Assessments are scheduled by Contractor in line to execution plans and before mobilization approvals and ensure appropriate Company personnel are in attendance.
Work in line with HSE Policy and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
Monitor and report on EPC Contractor vessel fleet (materials, personnel, modules)
Review and monitor Contractor on-island Logistics Procedures ensuring optimal usage of harbor berths, lay down areas, and effective and safe movement of machinery, materials, and personnel on the islands.
Ensure that the new supply lines for artificial island project are Fit for Purpose, ready for use when required, highly reliable, resilient to disruption and efficient.
Manage and supervise the Material Handling, Transportation & Vehicle Maintenance Services Contractor on the islands, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials and equipment whilst minimizing the financial impact on the COMPANY. Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and maintenance procedures are acceptable, properly maintained and up to date, with no environmental impact.
Monitor and manage the Catering Contractor. Ensure a high standard of food preparation, menu quality and variation. Ensures that the waste management policy is adhered to, and a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained.
Regularly Monitor and inspect accommodation and other facilities ensuring that the highest standards are maintained.
Monitor and analyze Harbor House functionality. Implement change management for any possible improvement/optimization.
Ensure that all preventive maintenance and repairs records are up to date, procedures applied conform to manufacturer requirements, and that all non-process facilities are maintained to high standards.
Implement and manage the efficient shipping of waste from the islands to meet with the HSE policies of the Company and International Standards. When necessary, modifies the procedures to meet new and unforeseen threats caused by hazardous waste.
