Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and project plans to determine the necessary landscaping materials and labor.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and landscape designers to gather project requirements and details.
• Research and stay updated on current market prices for labor, plants, and construction materials.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and timelines for landscape projects of varying complexities.
• Review and assess project proposals and specifications to understand labor and material requirements.
• Negotiate costs with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing for project needs.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess the scope and conditions of planned projects.
• Present and discuss cost estimates and winning bids with clients and stakeholders effectively.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
• Participate in bid review meetings to analyze and correct potential project cost discrepancies.
• Monitor project expenditures and adjust cost estimates as project requirements change or expand.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, construction management, or a related field preferred.
• At least three years of experience in landscaping or construction project estimation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and landscape plans.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills to produce precise and detailed estimations.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
