Summary

• Manage all wine service operations within the restaurant or bar outlet independently.
• Serve wines to guests at the table with professionalism, following 5-star service standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections and food pairings available in the outlet.
• Maintain and organize the wine storage area and ensure optimal conditions for wine preservation within the outlet.
• Update and manage the wine list regularly based on outlet inventory and guest preferences.
• Collaborate closely with waitstaff and kitchen team to create exceptional wine and food experiences.
• Train and assist outlet staff on wine knowledge and proper service techniques.
• Ensure all wine service tools and stations in the outlet are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to wine service quickly and courteously.
• Maintain a professional and approachable presence to enhance the overall guest experience in the outlet.
  
  

• Basic certification in wine studies (e.g., WSET Level 2 or equivalent) with knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production processes.
• Ability to assist senior sommeliers with wine service and wine list management.
• Familiarity with wine and food pairings to enhance guest dining experiences.
• Strong interest in developing expertise in wines and spirits.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a polished and professional demeanor.
• Ability to describe wines clearly and confidently to guests.
• Experience working in luxury or fine-dining environments preferred.
• Attention to detail when handling, storing, and serving wines.
• Willingness to learn and take feedback from senior staff to grow in the role.
