Job Description

The IT Support Specialist 05N25 is a key role within our technology infrastructure, responsible for providing technical assistance and support to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems. You will be the go-to person for all computer software and hardware issues across the organization. Your role is crucial in maintaining the technological resources and resolving issues promptly to ensure an efficient business environment. A successful IT Support Specialist will have excellent troubleshooting capabilities, outstanding communication skills, and a solid understanding of various systems and networking concepts. The ability to adapt quickly and handle a wide range of technical scenarios will be essential in this dynamic and fast-paced position. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal and external clients via multiple channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the setup and configuration of desktop computers, peripherals, and accounts.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all issues, solutions, and steps taken using the help desk software.
  • Assist with the installation, upgrade, and documentation of hardware and software systems.
  • Create and maintain network users, email accounts, and security permissions as directed.
  • Work closely with IT team members to implement projects and support processes.
  • Provide training and support documentation to users on new technologies or software.
  • Conduct routine system checks to ensure the smooth running of IT operations.
  • Stay updated with technological trends and industry news to bring innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers for problem resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in IT support or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking principles.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues using diagnostic tools and system checks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications such as A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are advantageous.
