Job Description

An IT Support Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the technical framework and infrastructure of an organization. This position requires a team-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end-users, and collaborating with other IT staff to ensure the smooth operation of the company's technological resources. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal staff and remote users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Assist with network setup and ensure connectivity for all users.
  • Monitor and maintain server health and security standards.
  • Conduct IT equipment audits and manage inventory effectively.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on processes and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop technical strategies.
  • Offer on-site and remote support to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Keep systems up-to-date by applying patches and upgrades regularly.
  • Provide training to users on new technologies and systems.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to technical support requests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar role required.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols and diagnostic tools necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for user interaction.
  • Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MSCE preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
