Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Hardware & Software Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of computer hardware systems, peripherals, and basic software applications. You will be at the forefront of supporting and maintaining IT systems, ensuring that our hardware and software assets are always operational and up-to-date. Your role will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of technical issues, which requires a strong analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software applications on PCs and servers.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist users with IT-related issues and provide technical support and guidance when needed.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware components and related software applications.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement IT solutions and initiatives.
  • Ensure data backup processes are carried out and verified regularly to prevent data loss.
  • Work with vendors to support and procure necessary IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Document and update technical support processes and training manuals for staff use.
  • Assist in network management tasks, including monitoring and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Consistently stay updated with the latest industry trends and IT technology developments.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years experience in IT support or a similar technical field.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues and software malfunctions.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems, such as Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
