Job Description

An IT Administrator is a vital role in any organization, responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's computer systems and network. Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and network segments.
  • Perform regular system maintenance to ensure optimal operation of server equipment.
  • Implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability at all times.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex network issues, providing swift resolution.
  • Install and upgrade software, hardware, and peripheral systems within the infrastructure.
  • Maintain a reliable backup system, and develop recovery strategies for potential data loss.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to design and implement functional networks as required.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff to ensure efficient system usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in IT administration.
  • Create, maintain, and update accurate documentation for network configurations and changes.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to applications within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as an IT Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of network and endpoint security protocols and practices.
  • Capability to diagnose and resolve complex IT hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Familiarity with database and storage management practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CISCO, or Microsoft are highly desirable.
