Job Description

An Inventory Controller is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of an organization's supply chain. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in stock levels.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to place orders and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and optimize stock turnover rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and prepare detailed reports for management.
  • Work with the IT department to improve and update inventory management systems and software.
  • Communicate with suppliers and resolve any issues related to delayed or incorrect shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff on inventory management procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast future inventory requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of inventory processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or similar inventory management roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective inventory management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Keen attention to detail for maintaining accurate and reliable inventory records.
