Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Indian Chef to join our culinary team. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic and innovative Indian cuisines that will tantalize the taste buds of our patrons. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of Indian spices and cooking techniques to create traditional dishes as well as contemporary variations that reflect the rich diversity of Indian gastronomy. Collaborating closely with the kitchen staff, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and consistency in every dish served. If you have a flair for creativity, a keen sense of taste, and a deep appreciation for Indian culinary traditions, we would love to hear from you.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an exciting menu that reflects authentic Indian cuisine.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Ensure that the kitchen meets all health and safety regulations consistently.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and manage daily kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen assistants as required.
  • Source the best quality ingredients, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
  • Experiment with new recipes to enhance and diversify our menu offerings.
  • Maintain an organized and sanitary kitchen workspace at all times.
  • Oversee the presentation and garnish of dishes before serving.
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff regarding daily specials.
  • Manage kitchen budgets and minimize waste through efficient practices.
  • Adhere to portion control standards to maintain cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Indian Chef in a reputed establishment.
  • Deep understanding of traditional and modern Indian cooking techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of various Indian cuisines and regional specialties.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor kitchen staff efficiently.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant equivalent qualifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in maintaining kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
