HVAC Technician

As an HVAC Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal climate control for residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. Your expertise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning will contribute to maintaining comfortable and energy-efficient environments. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and upgrade of HVAC systems. Your role will demand a strong understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components of HVAC systems. Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems efficiently.
• Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and recommend appropriate repair solutions to clients.
• Perform routine maintenance procedures and preventative care for HVAC equipment.
• Conduct performance tests and adjust systems for optimal functionality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with clients to determine HVAC system needs and offer solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes and HVAC standards during operations.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repair work conducted on systems.
• Keep abreast of new HVAC technologies and industry best practices for effective service.
• Respond to emergency repair calls to mitigate equipment downtime and client inconvenience.
• Ensure the worksite is clean and safe following the completion of tasks.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot HVAC system issues.
• Train and guide junior technicians or apprentices as required during installations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC training program preferred.
• Valid HVAC technician certification and state-required licensure necessary.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC system installation and repair.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for efficient diagnosis and repair of systems.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Willingness to continue professional development and stay updated on industry trends.
• Ability to work in various physical conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for traveling to work sites.
